Once you have decided which type of speaker is best for you, then you can think about the best speaker brand.
As already discussed, you can buy speakers separately or in a package, but whichever way you go there are a number of excellent speaker manufacturers who provide a good quality product at a range of prices.
The good news is, there are plenty of manufacturers making high quality speakers to suit a range of price levels.
The bad news is, you can only choose one!

The main things to look (listen!) for when buying speakers are:
- What do they sound like!
- Which type of sound is most important to you - music, movies or both? Some speakers are better at one or the other.

- Are they compatible with your amplifier?
- Will they fit into your room? This means size and looks!
