AV receiver impedance Vs. Speakers Impedance

I have a Marantz SR7005 AV receiver which recommends speaker impedance of 6-8 ohms....i am planning to get Canton Ergo 690DC speakers which speak of an impedance of 4-8 ohms....will the speakers work? are these recommended for the AV receiver i already have? what would be the repercussions, if any?
