Things to think about:
2.
Does the receiver have the right connections for all of your external devices? For example, DVD player, Blu-ray player, Xbox, PS3, cable TV box etc. Do you understand how each device will connect to your receiver?
3.
What type of surround sound system do you want - 5.1, 7.1, 7.2? The receiver must support these. Go to the
guide to surround sound setup for more details if you're not sure what these are.
5.
If you have an excellent stereo amplifier are used to high quality stereo reproduction of music, then you may need to spend a bit more on an AV receiver if you want it to handle both movies and music. For most people, an entry level model will provide a more than adequate sound for both.
Click on each product link to get more technical information on each receiver - to find user reviews and ratings - and also to add the product to your shopping cart.
