Blu-ray player problem - sound not working

Just moved my TV stand and for some reason I have no volume when watching DVD/Blu-Ray. I have the Blu-ray hooked up with HDMI cable and also have a fiber optics cable running from Blu-ray to television but no sound. The sound works fine when I am just watching television and using the surround sound but as soon as I switch over to watch a disc there is nothing.
