Bose Lifestyle V25 home cinema 5.1 for movies and music

I'm thinking to buy the Bose Lifestyle V25. However, I would like to know an opinion...before the purchase. I mean, is it any good? If I want after can I do the upgrade for an 7.1? Thank you

Well, the best way to judge any sound system is to go and listen to it yourself. You will always be the best judge of how good something sounds to you.

I had a quick look at the installation manual and it looks like the Lifestyle V25 is 5.1 only- and there is no option to add more speakers for 7.1.

This Bose system does seem quite expensive. The main selling point appears to be that it offers a guided setup with on-screen prompts to help you install all your cables and devices. If you feel this is important for you, then maybe it is worth paying a premium for this feature. However, it's not that difficult to install AV devices, so it depends on your willingness to give it some thought and do it yourself (or get a friend to help you!).

In my opinion, for less money, you could buy an AV receiver + speaker system that would give you much more flexibility in the components you can install - and would also sound better.

However, give the Bose system a listen if you can and see what you think.
