Do I need a Technical Pro HB8X500U?

I have a Yamaha RX V795A AV receiver, and have just bought some Sony speakers with a Sherwood subwoofer. My question is, I’m thinking of buying a Technical Pro HB8X500U 4-CH 4000 Watt Hybrid Amplifier & Pre-Amp 4 Channels. Do I need one?

How big is your listening area? How loud do you want to listen to your audio?

85 Watts per channel is a fairly decent output, for a small to medium listening area.

If you really want to "crank it up", then you probably would like to have the additional power.
