The flat wall mount, which can also be known as a low-profile or fixed wall mount, is usually the easiest type of mount to install - and often the cheapest.

Flat Wall Mount - Advantages
- if you are planning on doing a self-install, this is probably the easiest to put on the wall
- the TV screen will hide the mount so this is a good choice if you want a discrete and tidy installation
- this basic mount will often be the cheapest type of wall mount
- you will get your screen as close to the wall as possible
Flat Wall Mount - Disadvantages
- you are unable to move the position of the TV screen, and so will only suit rooms with a single viewing position
- the installation of cables can be difficult because there is little space between the screen and the wall
- they are not suitable for installation in the corner of rooms
TV Wall Mount Buying Guide
Things to think about:
- Will the screen be mounted high or low on the wall? Do you need the screen in the corner?
- Check the mount will support the weight of your TV
- Check the recommended screen size for the bracket - get one that is suitable for your TV
- Will you need different viewing positions on your room - or will you always be sat in the same place?
- The VESA rating should match the fixings on the rear of your television
