Harman Kardon AV Receivers recent drop in overall weight

I have a Harman Kardon 635 AV Receiver and it weighs about 41 pounds. It's a 75watt per channel, 7.1, with dimension of 17.3 x 17.1 x 6.5. I purchased it in 2004 from Circuit City.

The receiver has a beautiful sound but now I'm looking to update because my HK635 does not have any HDMI outlets.

Now I'm looking at a HK 3560. Better and up-to-date features, 7.1, 110 watt per channels, 2010 receiver, same dimension but it weighs 27.3 pounds.

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY!!!!
