I have a TV, digital receiver, media player and recently bought a home cinema with dvd. I connected the home cinema with an rca to scart cable and this works but i have no sound. I want to have sound in all 4 systems - tv, digital receiver, media player and dvd.

Thanks

Hi

It's a bit difficult to give you an exact answer as you don't say the make and model of your system.

However, generally speaking, you should be looking to connect your system something like this:

Connecting AV receiver and HDTV

So your digital receiver and media player will connect into the home cinema system (ideally with both video and audio connections - HDMI is the best way).

The receiver will then send the audio to the speakers, and the pictures to the TV (you connect a video output from the receiver to the TV).

If you don't have enough connections on your receiver (some HTiB systems offer limited inputs), then you may have to do something like this:

Connecting AV receiver for surround sound

Where the audio goes to the receiver and the video connections are connected directly to the TV. But this also depends on the number of audio inputs on your receiver.

It really depends on the inputs and outputs that each of your devices has.

All the best.
