How to connect my blu ray player?

Hi, I have a new Sony bdp s360 blu ray player. I used to connect my old dvd player to my tv with the component connectors. Should I use this with the blu ray player or hdmi?

HDMI connection for Blu-ray player

Use the HDMI connection - assuming your TV has an HDMI input.

HDMI should provide you with the best possible picture - and allow you to send the audio to the TV at the same time.

Component connections provide the best quality analog signal - but it would be better to keep the signal as digital by using HDMI.

If your TV doesn't have an HDMI connection (or you are using HDMI for connecting other devices and you don't have any more spare) then component would be the next best option - but you would also have to connect extra cables for the sound.

All the best

Paul
