Samsung LED not showing 200Hz by: Paul - The Home Cinema Guide

It's very difficult to troubleshoot issues with limited information, so this may not be very useful to you. For instance, we don't know the exact model of your TV, and so it's hard to be sure what features it is supposed to have.
However, a couple of things spring to mind.
1. Are you sure you've enabled the 200Hz Motion Plus in the menu? The 200Hz feature needs to be switched on, and I think it is off by default. Go to the Picture settings in the setup menu and you will find the options for enabling Motion Plus. I believe the options are; off, clear, standard, smooth, custom and demo. The demo feature shows the difference between on and off modes. Does this show you anything?
2. Make sure you've got the latest firmware for the TV. Software upgrades can be released with improved features and performance. Check your manual to see how you can check the version you have, and how to update the firmware if necessary.
If you're still having a problem, I suggest you give the Samsung helpdesk a call and see if they can suggest anything.
Does anybody else with a new Samsung LED TV have any suggestions?
All the best
Paul
I had the opposite problem by: Anonymous
Hi I have just gotten a Samsung UE46C8705XS, and I found the picture somehow strange (maybe i am not use to these new 200Hz, and the picture they produce).
I found the setting and set it to off and it helped me getting the picture I was seeking.
