Onkyo TX-SR508 and Samsung BD-C6900 Problem

Bought first onkyo tx-sr508 last week and a samsung 3d bdc-6900. I am not able to get dts-hd sound anymore. I put back my sony bdp-s370 and it all works ok again.

With the samsung - no dts-hd or dolby - only normal dts suround.

Changed all settings and still nothing. Sony all works fine. I think it is a problem with the 2 pieces that are not compatible - Samsung and Onkyo.

Hi

Make sure you have the latest firmware for the Onkyo receiver and the Samsung BD-C6900.

The Samsung can be updated over the internet via the ethernet connection on the back.

Failing that, try a different HDMI cable.

I had a Samsung BD-C6900 connected to an old Onkyo receiver a few months ago and had no problems.

Does it work if you get the Samsung Blu-ray to decode first and send as PCM?

Hope that helps.
