PC hookup to Panasonic TC-P50S2

I'm looking to buy a new TV and I'm interested in how to connect a computer to a flat screen TV. Is it possible to hookup a PC to a Panasonic TC-P50S2?

Hi

The Panasonic S2 doesn't have a dedicated PC input, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't hook up a PC to it.

Some HDTVs will have a 'PC' input - and this is often a VGA connector which is still compatible with many computers (although is slowly becoming less common).

However, you do have 3 HDMI inputs on that TV, and so you may be able to use one of these.

This will depend upon the computer you have.

You will need a computer with an HDMI or DVI connector, and these are likely to be found on more recent models. Either an HDMI to HDMI cable, or DVI to HDMI (depending on the connection type on your PC), will enable you to connect the PC to the TV and see the image.

However, to get an image that is sharp and usable, you will also need the PC to support the native resolution of your TV. In your case, the TC-P50S2 has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

If the graphics card on your PC supports this resolution, then you should see a good image.

You could try different output resolutions to the HDTV, but these may not be sharp enough to use properly, or they may only use a small amount of your screen.

All the best.
