Pioneer VSX-401 receiver - sound cuts in and out

Have Pioneer VSX-401 Receiver w/ Cerwin Vega C-7's on A and Marantz speakers on B. At low volume the sound cuts in and out on the right side of both A & B.

Hi

The first thing I would do is double-check your cables, and make sure all the connections are nice and secure, and there are no lose wires anywhere.

The fact that you are having issues on channel A and B may point to an internal issue in the receiver itself. One fairly common issue is the volume pots can get dusty and can cause drop outs.

Some units are easy to take apart and clean yourself, others may require a service from a professional. It depends on your level of experience with electronics.

Hope that helps.
