Problem playing DVD's on my Blu Ray player

I have a Blu Ray player and whenever I try to play a DVD the picture flickers. I have tried the DVD's on my PC DVD player & they are fine. Any suggestion on problem / fix?

Hi

When you talk about DVD's, do you mean just DVD's have this problem - or do Blu-ray's do this too? Or are you just playing DVD's on your Blu-ray player?

Things to check out:

1. Make sure your Blu-ray player has the latest firmware. Your manual will tell you how you can update it.

2. How are you connecting to the screen - via an AV receiver or directly to the screen? If you're not already, try connecting directly to the TV screen to eliminate issues with other devices and see if that makes a difference.

3. What connection type are you using? Assuming your TV has HDMI, use a good quality (not necessarily expensive) category 2 HDMI cable. If you are already using this to connect, try a different cable anyway - your current one may be faulty.
