Problem with Sony BDP-S360 bluray player

i have a sony bluray s360 and a onkyo hts-3300. Surround sound works great when watching cable but when i watch a movie the sound cuts in and out about every 5 min or so. what is going on?

Hi

First thing to check is the firmware for the Blu-ray player and the Onkyo system. Make sure the firmware is up to date, or newer Blu-ray discs may not play properly. The manuals for each device should tell you how to do this.

If not, try a different HDMI cable. A cheap or faulty HDMI cable may cause errors in the transmission of the digital data which could result in drop-outs.

SONY BDP-S360 SOUND CUT OUT

My BDP-S360 started doing this to. Sound cut in and out frequently. I'm giving up on this machine and buying new. NOT SONY.
