Samsung 3D plasma TV connection problem

I just purchased a 55" Samsung 3D (Plasma) TV and I am not sure why I am not getting any sound from the surround sound speakers. I have a Cable Box and DVD Player. The receiver is a Marantz AV SR4002.

Did you have the AV receiver working before you bought the new TV, or did you get everything together?

If it is just the TV that is new, I don't see why that would affect the setup of your sound. Or are you saying that you are having trouble sending sound from the TV into your surround sound system?

If the whole system is new for you, then you should be looking to connect the system something like this:



This would be a typical way to connect all your devices together - although there are alternative ways to get it all working depending on how you want it all to work.
