Which wall bracket for Philips HTS3500S surround sound system?
I have a Philips ht3500s surround sound system and I want to put them up on the walls. I would like to know what type of bracket I can use to do that? There are no screw holes in the back of the speakers to secure the speaker to the bracket. Hi As you say, many speakers do come with screw holes for securely fixing to wall brackets or floor stands. However there are many that do not. One answer is to screw into the wooden speaker itself. However, although some people do this, it's not something I would want to do myself. And that is no use if the speaker casing is plastic which is often the case these days. Therefore, another option is to buy speaker brackets which clamp the speaker at the bottom - usually from the sides or from the front/back. I have used this type of bracket before and it works fine - although at first it can seem a bit precarious with larger speakers. The main thing is to make sure you read the specifications of the bracket you are going to buy and make sure it will support the width/depth and weight of your speakers. You will need to be sure that the bracket is capable of securely clamping the speaker or you may have a problem later. Here are some examples of this type of speaker bracket at Amazon: Rocelco B-Tech Rocelco BT77 Ultragrip Pinpoint AM40B Universal Bookshelf Speaker Wall Mount SANUS SYSTEMS WMS-2 Large Speaker Wall Mount Hope that helps.
