Wireless sub woofer

I am trying to move around my sub woofer to get the best punch but having trouble with the cabling. Is there any device that can change the sub woofer to be a wireless one? My AV receiver is Onkyo 606.

Thanks

Teddy

Yes, there are products available that allow you to turn your wired subwoofer into a wireless one.

The basic idea is you have a transmitter connected to the output of your AV receiver, and a receiver connected to your subwoofer.

These wireless systems are commonly used with the surround left/right speakers in a surround sound setup. For use with a subwoofer, you just need to make sure the wireless system will transfer low bass frequencies - lets say from 150 Hz right down to 10-20 Hz.

I haven't used these myself, but here are a couple of wireless systems that should work ok with subwoofers:

Soundcast SOU-SCK510 SubCast Wireless Transmitter/Receiver System for Subwoofers

ButtKicker BK-LINK RF Wireless System

All the best.
